“School children should be involved in real-life tasks and challenges.”
~John Dewey, circa 1902

Educator and philosopher John Dewey promulgated the structures necessary in creating a conducive and effective classroom that properly prepares students. Yet in 2013, his notions of ensuring students are exposed to real-world examples have yet to take root in our education system.  As we, educators, prepare for a new school year, what efforts will you make to ensure your classroom allows students the opportunity to involve their minds, hands and hearts in 21st century tasks?”
